Echo Collective: MIRROR IMAGE

Echo Collective: MIRROR IMAGE

Presented with Baba Yaga's Hut

MIRROR IMAGE is the newest project from pioneering and genre-defying Echo Collective.

Presented in 4D Sound and commissioned and premiered at MONOM, Berlin, in partnership with the Richard Thomas Foundation, MIRROR IMAGE is a stunning and thought-provoking live performance exploring contemporary, experimental classical music, merged with captivating soundscapes.

Echo Collective founders Margaret Hermant and Neil Leiter use sound in ways that few artists have explored, turning traditional classical instruments in to sonic machines, darting between piano, harp and strings. With audience seated in the round, this is a hypnotic and energising set focussing on the duo, the mirror between two identities.

Founded by Neil Leiter and Margaret Hermant, Echo Collective is a diverse group of classically trained musicians based in Brussels, Belgium. In addition to its own compositions and projects, the group collaborates with modern composers and bands on concerts, tours, film scores, recording sessions, and original compositions. Past and ongoing collaborations include A Winged Victory for the Sullen, Johann Johannsson, Joep Beving, Stars of the Lid, Erasure, Daniel O’Sullivan, Adam Wiltzie, Dustin O’Halloran, Christina Vantzou, MAPS, Michel Bisceglia, and James Heather.
