Free Improvisers David Toop, Lucie Štěpánková, John Butcher, Christian Duka and Aimee Theriot-Ramos will collaboratively explore the sonic intricacies of the saxophone, cello and a combination of small electronics, found objects, materials, field recordings and spoken words in the temporarily installed 4DSOUND spatial sound system at Stone Nest. These instruments will be used as raw material to build “living sonic sculptures” - rotating, expanding and contracting across a multidimensional sound field for the audience to be immersed in.
Seating is unreserved. There will be a mixture of seating, cushions and standing room available - please contact us if you have any specific requirements.
The event will feature three performances:
Aimee Theriot-Ramos (Electric Cello, Electronics) & Christian Duka (Electronics, Spatialisation)
David Toop (objects and materials, field recording, spoken word) & Lucie Štěpánková (Electronics, Spatialisation)
John Butcher (Saxophone) & Christian Duka (Electronics, Spatialisation)
